Private sessions are available in all subject areas. Private tutoring allows your child to work 1-1 with a skilled tutor to strengthen skills and build confidence. The goal of our private sessions is for students to feel that they are in a safe place to learn and grow. Tutors develop learning plans that are tailored to your child’s strengths and areas of need in a fun and engaging way.

Semi-private tutoring sessions are also available in all subject areas. Similar to private tutoring, these sessions are customized to meet students’ needs. Semi-private sessions will pair students together with similar skill sets and learning preferences. These sessions also support students in building peer relationships and learning from each other.

Group tutoring sessions are currently available in reading and math. Students can be enrolled in group tutoring sessions of 3-6 students. For group tutoring we offer both customizable plans (goal setting based on group’s needs and abilities) and also enrichment groups. Enrichment groups run for 4-6 weeks and work on a predetermined skill or subject area.

Orton Gillingham tutoring (IMSE Orton Gillingham) is a structured, multi-sensory approach to teaching reading. This method of reading instruction is beneficial for students who are struggling with decoding, fluency, and writing. It is highly effective in supporting students with dyslexia. This systematic approach to teaching reading introduces students to phonetic rules in a fun and engaging way. Orton Gillingham tutoring is available at our eastside of Geneva location or virtually.

Virtual tutoring sessions are available in all subject areas including Orton Gillingham tutoring as either private or semi-private sessions. Virtual tutoring is a good option for families outside of the Fox Valley area or prefer an in-home tutoring environment. It can also be used as a blended method (makeups, scheduling conflicts, etc.). While many families might be apprehensive to partake in virtual sessions after the pandemic, virtual tutoring is very different than whole class learning. These 6 week summer elective groups are great for bridging the gap between grade levels. Sessions will include fun and engaging activities to work on reading and math skills.
